The smartest man in England bought the top

In 1720, shares of the South Sea Company went parabolic. Isaac Newton bought in, took a profit, watched his friends keep getting richer, and bought back in near the peak. Then it crashed.

He is said to have lost around twenty thousand pounds, a fortune at the time. As the story goes, he admitted he could calculate the motions of the heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people.

Three hundred years later, the charts look exactly the same. Isaac Rekton is for everyone who understood the maths and bought anyway.
